Abstract

This study aims to analyze and explain the influence of financial literacy on the financial behavior of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Muhammadiyah Makassar. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive with a sample of 100 student respondents from the 2021 to 2023 batch through purposive sampling with the type of non-probability sampling technique, and data collection through questionnaires, and analyzed using linear regression to test hypotheses. The results of the study showed that financial literacy had a significant effect on financial behavior with a confidence level of 95%. This means that increasing financial literacy tends to improve good financial behavior, such as managing budgets, investments, and savings.
