Meningkatkan Motivasi: Tantangan dari Teori Determinasi Diri dalam Mengembangkan Kemampuan Menulis
Abstract
Artikel ini menyelidiki tantangan integrasi Teori Determinasi Diri (SDT) dalam pendidikan menulis, dengan fokus khusus pada pembangunan motivasi di kalangan siswa. Tujuan utama dari studi ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan hambatan yang dihadapi dalam penerapan prinsip-prinsip SDT—otonomi, kompetensi, dan hubungan—dalam instruksi menulis dan mengusulkan strategi untuk mengatasi rintangan ini. Dengan demikian, karya ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang bagaimana teori-teori motivasi dapat dioperasikan dalam konteks pendidikan yang kompleks dan penting bagi perkembangan akademik siswa. Pendekatan metodologis meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi di kelas, dan analisis sampel tulisan siswa, yang menawarkan pemahaman komprehensif tentang efek strategi instruksional tersebut. Hasil penelitian menegaskan potensi SDT untuk secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam menulis, namun juga menyoroti perlunya perubahan sistemik dalam praktik dan kebijakan pendidikan untuk sepenuhnya mewujudkan potensi ini. Kesimpulan menekankan bahwa meskipun SDT menawarkan kerangka kerja yang kuat untuk memperbarui instruksi menulis, keberhasilannya bergantung pada dukungan yang luas bagi pendidik dan fleksibilitas kurikulum. Implikasi untuk penelitian masa depan termasuk eksplorasi strategi instruksional berbasis SDT yang disesuaikan dengan berbagai pengaturan pendidikan, serta pengembangan program pengembangan profesional bagi pendidik tentang pedagogi motivasional. Aplikasi praktis menyarankan pendekatan kolaboratif di antara para pemangku kepentingan untuk mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip SDT ke dalam kurikulum dan praktik pengajaran secara efektif.
