Penggunaan Media Sosial dalam Mengatasi Isu Rasial di Amerika Kampanye #AsianLivesMatter
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui media sosial seperti apa yang digunakan untuk menolak kasus diskriminasi rasial kampanye #AsianLiveMatter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, yaitu menggunakan Qualitative Data Analysis Software (Q-DAS), dan tolnya adalah NVIVO 12Plus dan memberikan nilai dengan cara deskriptif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa: pertama, konten atau tema media sosial mendominasi dalam tiga tema signifikan Keadilan, Orang, dan Rasisme. Kedua, hubungan tagar tampak cukup kuat karena dapat melihat di batas bawah 0,5. Ketiga, narasi yang menyebar didominasi oleh satu kata dan tagar untuk menyebarkan pengaruh dan menarik netizen untuk berpartisipasi. Penelitian ini juga memiliki keterbatasan seperti, Penelitian ini berfokus pada fenomena media sosial #AsianLivesMatters, tanpa mencoba untuk mengetahui motif kampanye seperti apa. Rekomendasi penelitian lain mencoba membandingkan dengan gerakan rasial lain.
