Krisis Iman pada Pasien Hemodialisis: Strategi Dukungan

Abstract

Penyakit Ginjal Kronik (PGK) yang memerlukan hemodialisis menimbulkan tantangan fisik dan psikologis yang signifikan bagi pasien, termasuk kecemasan, depresi, dan ketidakpastian tentang masa depan. Dalam konteks ini, spiritualitas memainkan peran penting sebagai mekanisme koping yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman spiritual pasien hemodialisis dan mengidentifikasi intervensi spiritual yang efektif dalam mendukung kesejahteraan mereka. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan pasien hemodialisis di Banyuwangi, serta profesional kesehatan dan konselor spiritual. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa banyak pasien mengalami krisis iman pada tahap awal diagnosis; namun, seiring berjalannya waktu, mereka menemukan kedamaian melalui doa, ibadah, dan dukungan sosial. Strategi koping psikososial-spiritual yang digunakan oleh pasien meliputi dukungan emosional, praktik keagamaan, konseling spiritual, relaksasi, dan meditasi. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa pasien yang menerima intervensi spiritual lebih mampu mengelola stres, menjaga stabilitas emosional, dan menunjukkan tingkat optimisme yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mereka yang tidak menerima dukungan spiritual. Intervensi spiritual telah terbukti memberikan makna dalam hidup, mengurangi kecemasan, dan meningkatkan ketahanan pasien dalam menghadapi penyakit kronis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya mengintegrasikan pendekatan psiko-spiritual ke dalam perawatan klinis pasien hemodialisis. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengembangkan program intervensi spiritual yang lebih terstruktur dan terintegrasi dalam sistem perawatan kesehatan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien secara komprehensif.
